Who we are

PromtEngine (promtengine.com) publishes technical reference material about vehicles, engines and machinery. This page explains what data is collected when you visit and what happens to it.

What we collect

PromtEngine is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, no comment system and no forms that submit data to us. We do not ask for or store your name, email address or any other personal detail.

Our web server keeps standard access logs, as essentially all web servers do. These contain the IP address making the request, the page requested, the time, the browser user-agent and the referring page. They are used for security and to diagnose technical faults, and are not used to build any profile of you.

Cookies

PromtEngine sets no tracking cookies. If you use the light/dark theme switch, your choice is stored in your own browser's local storage. That value never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

If website analytics are enabled, they are used only to understand which pages are read and how people arrive at the site, in aggregate. No attempt is made to identify individual visitors. You can block analytics with any standard browser privacy setting or extension, and the site will work exactly as before.

Third-party content

Pages may link to external websites. Once you follow such a link you are on that site and subject to its privacy practices, not ours. We have no control over and take no responsibility for how other sites handle your data.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is normally nothing for us to correct, export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, write tothe contact page and we will look into it.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
